Board Elections
Next month are the elections for the 2008-2009 LGSA Livermore Smoke Softball Season. The roles are effective July 1, 2008-June 30, 2009. The league is currently accepting nominations for all positions noted. If there's more than one candidate, the nominee will win by majority vote.
The voting process is by ballot method by the existing board members at the monthly board meeting on Monday, May 19, 2008, 7:00pm, Round Table, Stanley Blvd.
I encourage you to play a role in helping this league continue. These positions are rewarding knowing that you are taking a part in supporting a non-profit organization that allows our girls play softball locally.
If you have any questions or would like to submit your nominations, please send your nominations to your AGC or any board member. You may also submit on the website at www.livermoregirlssoftball.org in the suggestion box.

New for 2008: Big Sister Mentor Program
T-ball and 8-U teams interested in the program will be assigned a Big Sister who will help at practices, running drills, providing tips and feedback for the girls. The big sister will work with her assigned team for the entire season.
M/S and High school girls who are registered within the Livermore Smoke organization for the 2008 season can apply to participate as Big Sisters in this program. We are looking for girls who have extensive softball experience. Travel team experience is preferred but certainly all qualified girls will be considered. This is a season long commitment.
